We want to thank everyone for your patronage during a very trying year. In December, our wonderful customers made 68 Christmas stockings which were donated to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) along with box-fulls of toys and goodies to go in the stockings. All of this went to Foster children in Placer county.
Did you know that Sew Katie Jean has a monthly block "contest?" Each month, we choose a theme and decorate our front window to match the theme. We also choose a quilt block that goes along with that month's theme. For $5.00, our customers get a pattern for the block, a copy of the rules for that month's contest and a fat quarter of fabric (usually a background fabric.) They make the block at home, bring it to the shop and we hang them in the window. For every block they make, their name goes into a drawing held at the end of the month. All the blocks are put into groups and given as prizes! It's so fun and our customers are so creative and enthusiastic!
This month, our theme is "Come in From the Cold." We're featuring a darling pattern from Kate Spain for Moda called "In From the Cold." We chose this theme because nothing is so welcoming as a hot mug or cup of cocoa when the weather is cold outside. We can't wait to see what our customers create!
Once again, thank you for your business in 2020 and we wish you all a blessed 2021!
