"Blossoms and Bees!" Monthly Block Contest

We're so fortunate to live close to almond and fruit orchards in our part of California. this time of year, the orchards burst with beautiful blossoms! If you ever walk through an orchard in the Spring, you can hear the buzzing of honeybees! That's the inspiration for our March block contest. Our theme is "Blossoms and Bees!"

We are making two blocks this month. You may make one or both. The Blossom block is designed by Audrey's sister-in-law, Julie Cefalu from "The Crafty Quilter." We will be making the 12 1/2" block in your choice of blossom colors.

The honeybee block is a free pattern from CakeStand Quilts. It is written as a 14" block, but we will be cutting down the outside border to make it 12 1/2" i. Here's how the contest will work:

1. For $5, you will receive a fat quarter of background fabric and a copy of both patterns.

2. You will be entered into the contest for each block you make. Please turn in your blocks by Wednesday, March 31st. We will draw our winners on Thursday, April 1st.

3. First prize is a package of blocks for either a quilt or a table runner, depending on how many blocks are turned in. Second prize is 4 fat quarters of your choice and Third prize is a $10 gift card.
